Integrated Bodywork

All services are unique in that each include a holistic and therapeutic approach that engenders wholeness, integration, embodiment, and transformation. Each treatment is an intuitive blend created by listening to the language of the body with the hands tailoring a therapeutic experience for you in response. Each session is a synthesis of a variety of massage techniques, energy work, and corrective exercise and lifestyle recommendations for improving overall health and performance in your life.

 The most effective sessions evolve and unfold in the moment and are designed to take you to another place—a place of pain relief, well-being, deep calm and soothing stillness. All sessions are designed to creatively address your concerns, whether energetic blocks, pain relief, physical injury, or the desire to feel more connected to yourself. Whatever your goals, a space is created for healing, restoration and rejuvenation.

While it is impossible to fully describe my work in words for it needs to be experienced (since each session is highly customized), below is a basic overview and description of each service and some of the modalities that may be incorporated:

Integrative Bodywork

A unique intuitive blend of massage that focuses on overall relaxation, circulation, and physical and mental wellness.  This style of massage may include gliding, kneading, tapping, stretching, and cross-friction strokes.

Additionally, the techniques used in this integrative blend helps to improve circulation, improve the flow of lymphatic fluid (a key component of the immune system), “Chi” (life) energy and relax general muscle tension. This style of massage may consist of a slower, soothing and rhythmic flow with focused strokes and firm pressure, targeting deeper muscle groups, freeing previously dense and hardened areas, which may have become chronically painful due to a lack of fluid exchange and energy flow. 

As such areas soften and re-organize, their chronic tension patterns release, revitalizing living tissues with blood, lymph, and energy. Living systems like the human body require a constant flow of energy to self-organize and heal blockages that can disrupt the flow within our tissues and create long term health problems (joint and soft tissue pain, movement restriction, and circulatory issues, etc.).

Thai Massage

Thai Massage is an ancient form of Bodywork based on the application of slow, rhythmic compressions and stretches along ten of the most important “sen” lines (the body’s energy lines) using the palms of the hands, thumbs, elbows and feet. The body is positioned into yoga-like poses and gently rocked to more deeply open joints and facilitate limbering in order to clear energy blockages and relieve tension supporting the body’s self-healing abilities.

Holistic Corrective Exercise Coaching

A holistic approach to personal training that takes into account not only your physical fitness but also considers your emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. These sessions are conducted in the clients home or home gym and are individually tailored to the clients health and fitness goals. Comprehensive nutrition and lifestyle questionaires along with movement assessments are given to develop a safe and effective corrective exercise program to address postural imbalances and re-establish core fucntion. Paired with diet and lifestyle recommendations with the goal of creating new dream affirmative habits and restoring the body, mind and spirit back to healthy and optimal functionality.
